Events occurring while in Pause mode will not be
recorded in the Results Errors/Alarms screens, Event
Log nor Performance Monitoring screens, however the
corresponding event's LED will still turn red.
Pressing Clear History or Restarting a new test will
clear all LED history.
MLD Test - Signal Condition
The Signal Condition screen allows you to adjust the host board's electrical lanes'
interface properties (referred to as the Physical Lanes).
The following controls do not adjust any settings on the actual laser module, just the
Physical Lanes that communicate with the laser module.
Swing Sets the transmit differential voltage Swing value in mV, for
the Physical Lanes.
Select "ALL" to adjust the Swing values for all of the lanes, or
adjust each physical lane individually.
Valid mV settings range from 285 mV to 1087 mV, with a
Default value of 612 mV.
PreEmph Sets the pre-cursor transmit emphasis (Pre-Emphasis) value
in dB, for the Physical Lanes.
Select "ALL" to adjust the Pre-Emphasis values for all of the
lanes, or adjust each physical lane individually.
Valid dB settings range from 0.00 dB to 9.76 dB, with a
Default value of 0.00 dB.
Some values may not be allowed depending on the lane’s
Swing value. If the lane's Swing value is changed and if the
current Pre-Emphasis value exceeds the highest setting
allowed, the Pre-Emphasis value will default to the highest
