Server Connections and Operations

1.4.1

Server Rear Panel Connections / ID

On the rear of the

AU

Server is located all the interfacing boards and connectors of the system.

The Video Input Card(s) are used to interface the individual

AU

Cameras’ to the

AU

Server. The input to the

server is designated as the Video ID, which is a combination of the Board and Channel.

There are several USB ports which may be used for the various server peripherals in addition to the standard
mouse (MSE) and keyboard (KYPD) connections.  The server has two built-in communication ports and one
expansion port.  This expansion port can be used for four (4) additional serial com ports using the supplied
adaptor (VDCDS P/N 81749-02).  See Figure 1-8.
