Diagnostics switch position 11:
*FLASH MEMORY test
The instrument continuously tests (CRC/ checksum read/write)
the main program area in flash memory. A ‘00’ shall be displayed
on the seven-segment LED’s if every test has succeeded, and a
‘01’ will be displayed continuously if any test has failed, although
testing will continue.
Note that this Flash Memory test would be done immediately
after a reset.
7.6 Diagnostics CD
7.6.1 Introduction
To run the service diagnostics program for the ProStar 325
detector, you will need to insert the Verify CD into a computer
CD ROM drive and connect the pc to the detector via the
Ethernet connection.
From the Windows task bar select Start>Run>Browse. On the
CD find the file Service/Diagnostics/Diagnostics.exe. This will
execute the LCDiagnostics Application which you can use to
verify all working aspects of the detector. To run the program
from the local pc, you must save all the files associated with the
diagnostics program to the same directory.
7.6.2 Functions of Diagnostic.exe
Diagnostics.exe is a standalone application that is run directly off
the CD.
