7.4 LED status indicators
At power up the detector goes through an initialisation sequence
to calibrate its wavelength and verify its overall operation.
During this period, the LED’s on the front panel of the detector
change color to indicate its current status. The table below
defines each status.

7.5 PWB selector switch tests
Diagnostics switch position 1:
*FLASH MEMORY CRC/ CHECKSUM BOOT BLOCK test
The instrument continuously tests the boot block program. A ‘10’
will be displayed on the seven-segment LED’s if every test has
succeeded, and a ‘11’ will be displayed continuously if any test
has failed, although testing will continue.
Note that this Flash Memory test would be done immediately
after a reset.
Diagnostics switch position 2:
* RAM test
The instrument continuously tests all SDRAM on the main
board. A ‘20’ will be displayed on the seven-segment LED if every
test has succeeded, and a ‘22’ will be displayed continuously if
any test has failed, although testing should continue.
Note that this RAM test would be done immediately after a reset.
Diagnostics switch position 3:
*ADC/ DAC test
This allows continuous testing of the main ADC, as well as the
analog output drive.
