Remove the common ground screw on the side of the 
Electrospray chamber. Also detach the viewing window LED 
connector from the main PCB.

Detach the Electrospray chamber from the cabinet by removing 
the two screws on the back panel of the instrument behind the 
Electrospray chamber (not shown in Figure 5-3).

Remove the eight screws that fasten the two white manifold 
blocks to the inlet and exit of the ionization chamber. The 
viewing window lens can be cleaned if necessary by following 
the instructions in the section “

Cleaning the Viewing Window 

Lens

” earlier in this chapter. The viewing window LED mount 

can also be removed to clean the optical window it holds in 
place by using the following procedure:

Unscrew the viewing window LED mount. The optical 
window and an O-ring will fall out of the inlet manifold.
