16.1 Application
The measuring device is intended only for the flow measurement of liquids with a
minimum conductivity of 20 µS/cm.
To ensure that the device remains in proper operating condition for its service life, use the
measuring device only for media against which the process-wetted materials are
sufficiently resistant.
16.2 Function and system design
Measuring principle
Vortex meters work on the principle of the Karman vortex street.
Measuring system
The device consists of a transmitter and a sensor.
Two device versions are available:
• Compact version ‒ transmitter and sensor form a mechanical unit.
• Remote version - transmitter and sensor are mounted in separate locations.
