Setup Video Provides tools to:
• Calibrate the video image in the OMNICxi software for each
installed microscope objective. This lets you retrieve the
appropriate video calibration when the objective is changed.
To retrieve a video calibration for an objective that was
previously calibrated, use the
Objective option in the
OMNICxi Acquisition window. If you have a new objective
that has never been calibrated,
follow these steps to create and
save a calibration for that objective. You can also update or
delete a saved calibration.
• Adjust video camera settings ( not recommended). Use the
Video Settings button to access settings for the installed
video camera. These settings are defined at the factory and
adjusted during system installation and do not need further
adjustment.
Initialize Stage Initializes the sample stage on the microscope. The stage is
initialized automatically after the microscope is powered up and
OMNICxi software is opened.
We recommend selecting the
10x objective on the microscope before you power up the
instrument or initialize the sample stage.
NOTICE The microscope stage moves extensively during power
up and initialization. Items left on the stage during this process
could cause damage. Anything that protrudes above the surface of
the stage may interfere.
Align/Calibrate Aligns the installed laser and calibrates the laser wavelength. If you
have multiple lasers, gratings and filters, each laser, grating, and
filter set must have associated alignment and calibration data.
Once the alignment and calibration data are created, you can
interchange your laser sets without recalibrating them.
