Here are some examples showing the calibration markers correctly placed for two
different objectives.

18. Set Distance between markers in the Setup Video window to the distance between the
markers in micrometers. For the examples above, this would be 800 micrometers for the
10x objective and 60 micrometers for the 100x objective.
19. Click Save to save the calibration data for this objective.
20. If you have another objective to calibrate, repeat steps 10 through 20.
If you are finished calibrating objectives, close the Video Setup window and the Settings
window and wrap the calibration slide in lens paper and place it in the provided box.
 To edit an existing video calibration
1. Rotate the objective you are recalibrating to the front objective position.
2. From the OMNICxi Acquisition window, click Settings and then click .
3. In the Setup Video window, set Current calibration to the calibration you want to edit.
4. Adjust the calibration as desired.
If you just want to edit typed information, complete your edits and then proceed to the
next step.
Tip If you lined up the vertical cross hair at the left or right edge of a division line,
place the other two markers at the same edge of their respective division lines for
greater accuracy. This is especially important for high magnification objectives.
Tip To check a new calibration, select Video mode in the OMNICxi Acquisition
window and collect a mosaic. Then use the Grab tool to click a location in the
video image. If that location moves to the center of the video pane, the video image
has been calibrated correctly.
