The image appears in the left pane. The cross sectional chemical image shows depth 
(Y-, Z-axis) information rather than the normal surface (X-, Y-axis) information acquired 
in 

Image Regions mode

. Here is an example of a cross sectional image using the 

MCR 

profile

. Each color in the chemical image represents a new layer in the sample.
