10. Rotate the objective you are calibrating (or recalibrating) to the front objective position
and then look through the eyepiece while you use the fine focus control to bring the scale
(or a portion of it) into sharp focus. Here is the calibration slide in focus using a
100x objective.

11. If you are creating a new calibration for this objective, click in the Setup
Video window.
Enter a name for the new objective in the Objective name box. We suggest using the
magnification of the objective followed by its numerical aperture (for example, 10x/0.25)
or the model name. Objectives are typically labeled with this information. After you
complete the calibration, this name will appear under
Current calibrations in the Setup
Video window, and in the Objective list box in the OMNICxi Acquisition window.
Enter a more detailed description of the calibration in the Objective description box
(especially if there are two objectives with the same magnification and numerical
aperture).
Set Magnification to match the magnification of the objective you are calibrating.
Note If you are updating an existing calibration, skip this step and use the Current
calibrations list box to select the calibration to update.
