Replacing the Nosepiece

Figure 56.

Replacing the nosepiece

When installing a nosepiece, make sure to slide it in until it stops, and then tighten the screw
until it is just tight. Do not over tighten.

When installing a new nosepiece or changing objectives, set the Objective selection in the
software to the new objective you will be using.

Replacing an Illuminator Bulb

Time needed:

Approximately 10 minutes

Tools needed:

A 3.0 mm hex wrench

Parts needed:

Replacement illuminator bulbs (contact us for ordering information)

Tip

Do not remove the screw because it is difficult to replace.

Note

If you suspect a brightfield or transmission illuminator needs to be replaced, or if

there is a problem with the illuminator, contact us.

CAUTION

Avoid fire hazard. Use only illuminator bulbs supplied by us to avoid fire

hazard.
