Profile settings
Define the mathematical algorithm applied to each spectrum in an
acquired region of data to create the
. The algorithm
converts each spectrum into a number that is represented by a color in
the chemical image. The colors in the chemical image are defined by
the
.
The profile analysis results (i.e., the chemical image) appear in the
mosaic pane on top of the mosaic. A

. Each profile type has unique
for details on the available Profile types,
and their profile settings and generated results.
Profile intensity
scale
For all profile types except MCR, shows the scale or range and
corresponding colors used by the selected
to create the chemical
image. Areas of the chemical image that correlate with the profile
algorithm are displayed in the colors at the top of the profile intensity
scale. For the MCR profile type, shows the color in the chemical image
that is associated with each found component in the sample.
Right-click the profile intensity scale for these options:
•
Copy as picture
. Copies an image of the profile intensity scale to
the Windows Clipboard. The copied image can be pasted into any
word processing, presentation or other compatible application.
•
Save as EMF
. Saves an image of the profile intensity scale as an
EMF (Enhanced Metafile), which is a 32-bit version of the
Windows Metafile image file format.
•
Select color map
. Select an available color combination for the
chemical image (for all profile types except MCR).
•
Select MCR profile color map
. Select an available color
combination for the chemical image (for the MCR profile type).
Tip
Drag the lower limit of the profile intensity scale to shorten the
scale (can improve contrast in the chemical image).
