Unassigned Channels Tab

The Unassigned Channels tab (see Figure 32) is used to define the default signaling
state for T1 and E1 channels that have not been assigned to any control set, and
therefore are not associated with any template.

These signaling states are used as the defaults when selecting a new card mode in the
Unit screen for an Edge and may be overridden on a per-unit basis (see “T1 Card
Mode” on page 24 and “E1 Card Mode” on page 26).

You can select an idle signaling state associated with a particular protocol or define
the actual bit pattern directly.
