To specify the output data, in Channel of original file select the data that you want
to output, and click the Add button. The method for selecting the CAN data label is
described below.
The Channel of original file area displays the CAN channel (CH1_AR_GXCAN
in the example on the previous page), so double-click that channel. A dialog box sim-
ilar to the following CANdb Editor dialog box will appear, so in this dialog box
select the label for the output file.
Select the label to be output (so that a check mark is displayed), and then click OK to
return to the original dialog box.
• When CANdb file is specified and recording is based on GX Navi, items in
Message name , etc., are usually displayed. If not specified, however, in
CANdb file name specify the same CANdb as the recorded CAN data.
The information will be added to the list of specified analog channels, and the select-
ed CAN data label information will be displayed. If you now click the
Add
button,
the name of the signal that is output is displayed in the
Channel of original file
list. The maximum number of selectable channels is 128. (When recording via 30
analog channels, the maximum number of CAN labels is 98.)
After you have finished selecting the data, click the Convert button to perform the
conversion. (The conversion process might take a long time, depending on the
amount of recorded data.)
• When you specify

, you can per-
form up-sampling of data recorded by multi-sampling, and can output the data as a
file with the same sampling. For details, see the “GX AVC Instruction Manual”.
• For conversion of physical amounts, when there is data that exceeds 16 bits in one
signal, the data is rounded to 16 bits. CAN data to be recorded becomes one item
of effective CAN data at 4 samplings, so the rounding might cause the first and
last part of the recorded data to become ineffective as CAN data. In such a case,
physical quantities might not convert correctly.
