Digital Input/Output Amp (AR-GXDIO)
The AR-GXDIO amp is for recording and playback of 16-bit digital
signals. When used as an output amp, analog signals input into anoth-
er channel can be output as a digital signal.
When used as an input amp, engineering implications can be added to
recorded data. For example, when the upper 8 bits are all made 0, and
the AR-GXDIO connects to the output of an AD converter with a res-
olution of 1 mV for the lower 8 bits, you can record in mV units by
using Change Unit to specify 1.0 = 1.0 mV.
However, for conversion to an engineering quantity when digital sig-
nals such as BCD (Binary Coded Decimal) were input, just processing
of SLOPE and Y_OFFSET is not possible. When using 16 bits to
input data in which the uppermost bit in the uppermost digit of a 4-
digit BDC value is 0, such as a tide value of 1234 cm; if the data is
read as binary data, it becomes the decimal 4660. To return this deci-
mal value p to the original value x, perform the following calculation:
Where int(k) is the integer part of k, and pmod(k) is the remainder
when integer p is divided by the integer k. If p = 4660, 1234 is
obtained when x is calculated.
