Copying
Prior to copying
DRH-5700x 53
Minimum high-speed copying times
The following table contains the corresponding mini-
mum times for copying a two-hour film recorded in SP
mode from hard disk to DVD.

Notes:

The times specified are approximate.
•
The actual disc copying speed may vary
from recording to recording.
•
It may not be possible to copy some
4x/6x/8x/16x compatible discs at maxi-
mum speed.
•
The high-speed copying function may not
be available for discs that have been initial-
ised on another recorder.
Copying from hard disk to DVD (one touch
copy)
1. Select the title you wish to copy from the title list
menu on the hard disk and press ENTER.
Selecting several titles on the hard disk
•
Press TITLE to access the list view.
•
Press the
X
button. A marker appears on the ti-
tle. Press
X
again to remove the markers.
•
Repeat this procedure for every other title.
•
Press ENTER, the menu options are displayed
on the left of the screen.
2. Press
S

T
to select the option [Copy] and press
ENTER. The copying menu opens.
3. Press
W
/
X
to select the copying quality (HQ, Fast,
SEP, SLP, EP, LP, SP) and then press
T
.
Fast: See the left column of this page for further
information on high-speed copying.
4. Press ENTER when the [OK] symbol is selected.
The copying process starts.
5. Press STOP (

) to stop the copying process at
any time.
Note:
•
The recording time in Fast mode may vary depend-
ing on the quantity of source data.
•
Stopping the copying process in Fast mode cancels
the recording and all data recorded up to that point is
lost.
•
Fast mode cannot be used if there is insufficient
space on the disc.
•
When copying modified hard disk titles and clip re-
cordings onto a DVD-RW disc in VR mode, Fast
mode is not available.
Copying from DVD to hard disk (one touch
copy)

Notes:
•
Copying may not be possible, depending
on the recording device or disc require-
ments.
•
Stopping the copying process in Fast
mode cancels the recording and all data
recorded up to that point is lost.
•
Recording in Fast mode may take up to 19
minutes.
•
Fast mode is not available for recording
modified titles onto DVD-RW disc in VR
recording mode.
