1. Select the title you wish to name from the title list
menu and then press ENTER. The various options
are displayed.
2. Press

and then [Rename] in the submenu and press
ENTER. The keyboard menu appears.
3. Enter a name for the title. Press

lect a character and press ENTER to confirm.

4. Select Finish and press ENTER to adopt the na-
me and return to the previous menu.
5. Press RETURN several times to exit the menu.

A maximum of 13 characters of the name
are shown.
•
The recorder only displays a limited num-
ber of characters from discs formatted on
other recorders.
•
For recordings on DVD-R, DVD+R or
DVD+RW discs, the entered name is only
displayed on the DVD player when the
disc is finalised.
Sorting the title list
You can use this function to sort lists in the title list
menu on the hard disk by date, title name or category
so that you can locate the title of your choice more
quickly.
1. Select a title from the title list menu on the hard
disk and press ENTER. The various options are
displayed.
2. Press

to select the option [Config] and then
[Sort] in the submenu and press ENTER. The va-
rious sort options appear.
•
[Sort]: by date, title name
•
[Attr Filter]: by selected attribute (Movies, Sport,
Children, Other, Attr.1-Attr.4, All Attributes, No
Attribute
•
[Attr. Name]: Enter user-specific attributes via
the keyboard menu
3. Press
S
/
T
under the option [Sort] to select the
sort criteria or specify the desired attribute filters
and then press ENTER. Press ENTER to display
the sorted menu.
Dividing a title into two
This function divides a title into two new titles.
1. Select the title you wish to divide from the title list
menu and press ENTER.
The various options are displayed. Select the op-
tion [Edit].
2. Select [Divide] from the submenu.
3. Press ENTER. The Divide menu appears.
4. Press the PLAY, PAUSE, FF and REW buttons to
search for the desired starting point.
5. Select the option [Divide] and press ENTER at the
end of the first section. To remove the dividing
point, select [Divide] at a different point and press
ENTER.
6. Select [Cancel] to cancel the process and return
to the title list.
