Playing audio CDs or MP3/WMA files

Options in file manager
1. Press
S
/
T
to select a folder/file in the file man-
ager and then press ENTER. The various options
appear. The displayed menu options may vary de-
pending on the selected data carrier.
2. Press

to select an option and then press
ENTER.
•
[Playback] Starts playing the selected title.
•
[Copy] Copies files to another folder or data
carrier. (Page 40).
•
[Delete] Deletes files or folders from the data
carrier.
•
[Attribute] Displays the attributes.
•
[Play List] Adds files or folders to the play list.
Note
•
The files added to the play list are sto-
red in a subfolder in the relevant direc-
tory.
•
[Sort] Sorts files or folders by name and in
chronological order.
•
[Cancel] Exits the options menu.
•
[Close] Closes the folder.
•
[Open] Opens the folder and shows the files
contained in the folder.
Playing audio CDs or MP3/WMA files
The recorder can play audio CDs and MP3/WMA files.
Before playing MP3/WMA files, read the section "Re-
quirements for MP3/WMA audio files" on the next pa-
ge.
1. HDD: Press the JUKEBOX button to play music fi-
les stored on a HDD.
DVD: Insert an audio/MP3 CD. The file manager
appears and the first title starts playing.
2. In the file manager, the title appears on the right.
The recording level and the play time/total play
time appear on the left.
3. Navigating in the file manager: Opening albums:
Press
W
, the cursor moves to Audio. Press EN-
TER and select Open. Changing between albums
and titles: Press
X
to change to titles or
W
to
change to albums.
Tips
•
Press DISPLAY to display ID3 tag infor-
mation for the MP3 file. If ID3 tag informa-
tion is not available, [ID3 Tag: None] is
displayed. When a folder is selected, the
number of subfolders and MP3 files con-
tained in the subfolders are displayed.
Press DISPLAY again to hide the informa-
tion.

Press the RETURN button and select the
option [DVD] or [HDD] to exit the menu
screen.
4. Press STOP to stop playback at any time.
