Replacing the
UV Lamps
The UV lamps used for curing models have a long, but limited, working life.
You can test and adjust their effective power with the UV Calibration wizard
(see "Testing and Calibrating the UV Lamps" on page 6-61). If you need to
replace a UV lamp, follow these instructions:
1. Make sure the printer is in
offline
mode.

The
online/offline
button at the bottom of the printer interface should be
red. If not, click it to switch the printer to
offline
mode.
Warning
Before continuing, make sure that the safety interlock is not defeated, and
that the UV lamp is not hot.
2. Start the UV Lamp Replacement wizard from the
Options
menu (see
"Cleaning and Replacing the Wiper" on page 6-29).
3. Make sure that the build tray is empty, and confirm this in the wizard
screen. Then, close the printer cover and click
Next
.

The axes move to the “home” position.
