384 Posi-Switchpoint (el. cam)
Description
Block 384 outputs an impulse based on a position (for one cycle, cf.
A150
) and
a static signal. The relationship to the position is specified by the switching point
method on the input
Mode
.
With method 0 (
Mode
= 0), the position specified on the input
SwtchPos
is
interpreted as the absolute position. When the position is traveled over, the
outputs
Q_pulse
and
Q_Set
are set to
1:active
.
When an endless position range in mode 0 is being used and it is detected that
the switching position
SwtchPos
is outside the circular length,
Q_pulse
is set to
inactive.
A "complementary switching point" is defined by the block internally so that the
switching point can be placed within any circular length when an endless
position range is being used in this mode. The "complementary switching point"
is displaced by a half a circular length from the regular switching point. When it
is traveled over,
Q_pulse
,
Q_Set
and
OutState
are set to
0:inactive.
The inputs
StartPos
and
TargtPos
are used to determine overflows. The start
position of the current movement is specified on
StartPos
and the target
position on
TargtPos
.
When the second method (
Mode = 1
) is used, no difference is made between
limited and endless position ranges.
Q_pulse
and
Q_Set
are set when a
position is set relative to the start.
The block interprets the value on
SwtchPos
as the traveling distance relative to the start position of the movement specified
on
StartPos
and calculates the switching point from this information. Correct
usage of this method requires that the current target position be specified on the
input
TargtPos
.
When the third method (
Mode = 2
) is used, the outputs are set relative to the
target position. The block interprets the value on
SwtchPos
as the traveling
distance relative to the target position specified on
TargtPos
and then calculates
the switching point from this information. Also with this method, no difference is
made between endless and limited position ranges. Correct usage of this
method requires that the current start position be specified on the input
StartPos
.
The input
Reset
is like a static reset. When
Reset
is active, the impulse output
Q_pulse
and the static output
Q_Set
are set to inactive.
The total switching point functionality is only executed when the inputs
MotionID
and
ActMotID
have the same value or when
MotionID
= 0. Exception: The reset
functionality (see above) which is always executed. No additional limitation to
certain values on the input
PLCOstat
is implemented at this time. The input has
no effect on the function of the block.
When the input
Mode
has a value other than 0, 1 or 2, no functions are
executed except reset.
NOTE
The block can only be used in positioning applications.
