SRS Residual Gas Analyzer
General Utilities
Note:
For detailed information and command description of the RGA program please refer to the RGA
On-Line Help files provided with the program disks. The RGA help system includes a detailed
description of all the features, procedures and commands available in the program.
Using the Data Cursors
Cursor command
The cursor command is enabled in Analog, Histogram and P vs. T modes. This mode
allows you to display the value of individual masses by moving around the data cursor to
the point of interest on the graph. The X and Y values are automatically updated and
displayed. You may move the data cursor by either left-clicking on a point in the graph
or by dragging the mouse with the left button pressed down.
Cursor Properties command
You may change the cursor properties such as color, line width, and line style using this
command.
Scheduled Saving of Data
Logging Scans
Scan logging is enabled by default. This is to prevent data loss when power is
interrupted. All scans in a scan log file share the same parameters.
To log scans to disk do the following:
1.
Establish a connection between the RGA program and Head.
2.
Select a display mode that supports scan logging (except the annuciator mode).
3.
Select Scan Logging from the File menu or clicking the scan logging button in the
Tool Bar
and configure the scan logging mode.
4.
Check to enable the log.
5.
Start the scan using Start scan from the Scan menu or clicking the green button.
To disable scan logging, use the scan logging dialog box again.
Viewing Scans
To view a scan log, the active RGA display mode must be the same type of display mode
that was used to log that scan if the Open Scan Logs command is used for analog or
histogram or table scan retrieval. The Open Scan Logs command only works for three
scan types; the analog scan, the histogram scan, and the table scan. If the active RGA
display window is for the other scan type except the above three scan types, the Open
Scan Logs command will be deactivated. When the log file of analog or histogram scan
is double-clicked or dragged in RGA program, a new RGA active window will be open
with the proper display mode. Other types of log files, which are saved as ASCII text
format, can be open with a simple ASCII text reader.
