1. Refer to the printer’s operation manual and make sure the printer’s

RS-232 data format is set up as follows:
•

Data Type: ASCII

•

Data Format: 9600 baud, 1 start bit, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no par-
ity

2. Connect the printer adapter’s connector to the sensor connector.
3. Connect the printer adapter’s DB-9 connector to the mating connec-

tor on the printer. (If necessary, connect the printer adapter’s DB-9
connector to a DB-9 to DB-25 adapter, then connect the adapter to
the printer.)

4. Connect the printer’s power source to the printer as described in the

printer’s operation manual.

CAUTION! Use only the printer cable specifically intended for use
with this device (see

Optional Supplies and Accessories)

5. Make sure the printer has paper loaded and is ready to print as

described in the printer’s operation manual.
