When placing the sensor on the patient, allow the cable to lay across the
palm of the hand and parallel to the arm of the patient as shown in Fig-
ure 4.2.

Upon completion of patient monitoring, detach the sensor as shown in
Figure 4.1 and loosely coil the finger sensor cable.
