The following command section (3-layer enabling but-
ton) is also connected by cable to the control desk:
When the safety fence door is opened and the
key switch on control desk turned, the machi-
ne is automatically released for special operation with
the enabling button. All dangerous motions are discon-
nected when the safety fence door is open (or pre-
vented from starting by disconnection from the power
supply).

finished.
First layer (1) and cam switch in Pos. 2 (strap insert)
– Continuous contact, button not fully depressed.
Causes a short strap feed after manually replacement
of strap coil.
Second layer (STOP)
– Button fully depressed.
Interrupts motions actuated.

The strap is retracted by the strapping head, tensi-
oned and sealed. This sequence is described in
detail in the operating instructions H 3000.

While taking up strap, surplus strap will be taken up
from the accumulator of the dispenser. After take-
up, the dispenser brake is released, so that strap is
delivered to the roll support until proximity switch
„Dispenser block down“

The carriage (strapping head) moves back at the
same time until limit switch „Strapping head back“ is
operated.

The strap is injected until proximity switch „Strap
feed completed“ on the strapping head is actuated.
9.
If necessary a second strapping operation takes
place according to points 2 to 7.

The sequence is completed and the control unit
indicates „Strapping ended“.
If the collision protection device is operated
for example by an incorrectly positioned pallet
the carriage moves up and the control unit indicates
„
Collision guard
“.
If the package sensing is raised by package situated
outside the 0-line when lowered, proximity switch is
actuated (sequence as for collision protection).
4.2.2 DESCRIPTION OF OPERATING SEQUENCE
The description of the operating sequence refers to
normal operation (mode of operation in position „Auto-
matic“).
Preconditions
– Machine at initial position
– No fault present
– The „Ready to start“ signal lamp on touchscreen is
on
– Conveyor not in motion

The start command for a strapping operation is
provided by the conveyor control.
2.
The package to be strapped moves upwards (con-
veyor) into the strapping position.
3.
The strap is injected until proximity switch „Strap
feed completed“ on the strapping head is actuated.
4.
The carriage (strapping head) moves to the packa-
ge until proximity switch „Package sensing“ is actu-
ated.
If the package is positioned outside the range
of the package sensing, strapping is not per-
formed The strapping head moves back to the initial
position and the machine moves to the next strapping
position.
