6.6 REPLACING STRAP COIL
When the fault indication „
Out of strap
“
on touchscreen appears, there is practically no
strap left on the coil. The machine changes to the fault
status and can no longer operate.
– On touchscreen select mode of operation „ Manual “.
– Turn key switch (operation with enabling button)
– Open the door in the safety fence.
– Withdraw remaining strap from strapping head use
enabling button (Fig.5/7) (do not depress button
fully). For description of enabling button, refer to
page 12.
– Release knurled nut on dispenser and remove dis-
penser disc. Remove remaining strap.
– Insert new coil so that the strap start is on top (see
Fig. 5, center picture).
– Mount dispenser disc with knurled nut.
– Swivel stop lever (5/1) downwards and raise lower
roller support (5/2) of dispenser fully upwards.
The roller support is held by the stop lever in
the upper position.
– Feed start of strap from coil to front upper roller.
Insert strap between wedge and roller and feed to
front lower roller. Thread here as at the upper roller
and take strap to the next upper roller.
– Continue threading in this way up to the rearmost
upper roller.
– Take-up so much strap as later needed to fill the
dispenser.
– Hold the lower roller support and swing the stop le-
ver (5/4) upwards. Allow roller support to move down
(slowly). The strap is retracted into dispenser.
– Insert start of strap in strap guide on machine and
feed up to strapping head until the strap stops.
– Switch cam switch (5/6) below enabling button to
position “ 2 “ (Strap threading).
– Depress enabling button (5/7) (position 1, not fully
depressed) and hold it depressed until the strap
is feeded through the strap feed inpulse, release
button.
– When work in the danger area is completed, the
door must be closed from outside and the „ Reset “
button pressed.
– Restarting the interrupted automatic sequence.

danger area.
CAUTION
When changing the coil there is a
danger that it can be dropped, injuring the
feet. Wear safety boots .
