6.7 ELIMINATION OF FAULTS (OPERATOR)
Refer to Chapter 8.1 or to the operating instructions
H 3000 for faults not described in this section.
6.7.1 OUT OF STRAP
– The strap coil is empty, see Chapter 6.6.
6.7.2 STRAP MISFEED
Symptoms
– The strap is not fed up to switch „Strap feed com-
pleted“ in the strapping head.
– The start of the strap can drop out of the guides or
jam in the guides.
– The strap feed is interrupted by a cycle monitoring
time and a fault indication is given.
Causes
– Deformed strap.
– Strap dimensions outside tolerances.
– Damaged strap guide or strap flaps.
– Strap guide transitions displaced or incorrect initial
position of carriage.
– Strap guide channel dirty.
– Defect on dispenser.
– Switch „Strap feed completed“ in strapping head
defective or wrongly set.
Elimination
– Select mode of operation „ Manual “.
– Remove strap from strap guides by pressing button
„ Reset “.
This procedure is usually successful.
Otherwise the position of the strap start
must be determined. The reason for a fault can of-
ten be found near the start of the strap.
– When work in the danger area is completed, the
door must be closed from outside and the „ Reset “
button pressed.
– Restart the automatic sequence interrupted.
6.7.3 COLLISION GUARD
Symptoms
– The strap guide ring cannot move down beyond the-
package. The collision guard is actuated. The carri-
age moves up and a fault indication is given.
Causes
– Package wrongly positioned.
– Dimensions of package not suitable.
– Package displaced on pallet.
Elimination
– Determine reason for fault and eliminate, e.g. positi-
on package correctly.
– When work in the danger area is completed, the
door must be closed from outside and the „ Reset “
button pressed.
– Restarting the interrupted automatic sequence.
