2.1 Use for the intended purpose
The machine is intended for horizontal strapping of
packages, barrels, building timber, building blocks, etc.
The machine processes plastic packing strap suitable
for automatic machines (polypropylene, polyester). For
detailed information on the strap to be used, refer to
Chapter 3.1. Processing of other qualities can result in
disturbances in operation.
2.2 Reasonably foreseeable misuse
Any other use than that specified under „Intended use“
or use beyond this is considered to be improper use
and is forbidden. Any other use requires consultation
with the manufacturer.
2.2.1 Alterations, changes
The manufacturer will assume no liability or warranty if
un authorized modifications and changes are made to
the machine.
2.3 Manufacturer‘s safety measures
The machine has been constructed in accordance with
technical regulations and complies with the standards
EN ISO 12100:2010, EN 415-8 and EN ISO 13850.
Safety at easily accessible hazard areas is provided by
fixed isolating protective devices. Nevertheless, hazard
areas still exist, which makes a safety fence with a door
necessary. The fence is not included in the scope of
delivery of the machine.
The control unit is, however, designed in such a way
that that two door interlock switches can be connected
to the safety relay 32K1. The function of the interlock
switches is monitored every time the control voltage
is switched on and when the door is used. For both
operations, the „Reset“ button must be pressed. The
same safety relay also monitors the function of the
EMERGENCY-STOP switch.
The machine may only be operated with all protective
equipment mounted and intact. Otherwise further ope-
ration is forbidden. Defective protective equipment must
be repaired and missing equipment replaced.
2.4 Measures to be taken
A safety fence with interlocking access door must be
installed. The door must be secured against uninten-
ded relocking. It should be secured with a dual channel
interlock switch.

Preventive and corrective maintenance
on the machine may only be carried out
by trained personnel.
CAUTION
Protect yourself!
When working on the machine (inside sa-
fety fence), wear eye, face, hand protec-
tion (cut-proof gloves) and safety shoes.
CAUTION
Only strap packed goods!
Do not put hands or other parts of the
body between the strap and the package
during the strapping process.
CAUTION
Danger of crushing!
Do not put your fingers in drive area or
between moving parts
WARNING
Voltage!
The control desk may only be opened by
qualified personnel. Switch off the machi -
ne and secure against reactivation before
carrying out any work on the machine.
CAUTION
Strap will snap forward!
When cutting the strap, hold the upper
portion and stand safely away from the
strap.
Caution: The lower strap will snap for-
ward.
CAUTION
Original spare parts must be used
exclusively!
Not using original spare parts will dissolve
the warranty and the liability.
