3.5 Installing an RTU

Insert the card in the slot "MC " until it locks gently in place. Make sure that the card is in

the correct position.

Removing the SD card

Note
Pulling the SIM card
Do not remove the SD card while the device is operating. First shut the RTU down to the

safe status, refer to the section Operating status (Page 127).

With slight pressure on an inserted card, you release this again from the locking mechanism

in the slot.

Installing an RTU

Prior to installation

Refer to the information in the section Requirements for commissioning (Page 67) before

you start to install the RTU.
You will find the device dimensional is in the section Dimension drawings (Page 349).

Installation location

NOTICE
Installation location - Dependency of the temperature range
The module must be installed so that its upper and lower ventilation slits are not covered,

allowing adequate ventilation. Above and below the device, there must be a clearance of 25

mm to allow air to circulate and prevent overheating.
Remember that the permitted temperature ranges depend on the position of the installed

device. You will find the permitted temperature ranges in the section Technical data

(Page 335).
