Devices
In this tab, you define up to 8 slaves, which you connect to the expansion card of the RTU.

Active
If this option is selected, communication with the device is enabled. You can then create
variables for the read data of the device in the next tab.
Unless it is enabled, the tag will not be processed in productive operation.
To deactivate tags that are already enabled and integrated in the program, you must first
delete the use of the tag in the user program.

Device Name
Assign a unique name to the devices. The name is required for creating the tags.

Device Type
Assign the device to one of the following types:

Modbus RTU
–
HART
Depending on the device type, the following parameters are displayed.

RS-485

Use different RS-485 settings
Enable this option if you use different sensor types and they have no common RS-485
settings. It is recommended to make the same settings for all sensor types.
