Save configuration
With this function the current configuration data of the RTU is saved in a configuration file.

●

Save on SD card
Saves the current configuration file under the name "user.cfg" on the SD card.

●

Compress and encrypt file (optional)
If you enable the option, the configuration file is saved and encrypted compressed as a

ZIP archive.

●

Password for optional encryption
Input box for the password for encryption of the configuration file
The following requirements apply to the password to be entered:
–

Length: At least 1 character, maximum 16 characters.

–

Permitted characters
Digits, lowercase letters, uppercase letters and special characters from the ASCII

character set 0x20 .. 0x7e

Required characters: Free combination of the permitted characters

Save to PC
Saves the current configuration file under the name "user.cfg" on the configuration PC.

Names of the configuration files

You can save different configuration files on the SD card.

Automatic saving in the configuration file "default.cfg"
When using an SD card if the configuration data of the RTU is automatically stored in the file

"default.cfg".
When changed configuration data is adopted the file "default.cfg" is automatically updated on

the SD card.

Manual saving in the configuration file "user.cfg"
When you save manually using the WBM, the configuration data is stored on the SD card in

a file with the default name "user.cfg".
In addition to this, with each change to the configuration data the file "default.cfg" is

automatically updated.

Startup of the RTU with configuration files

If you store different configuration files on an SD card and plug this into an RTU, the RTU

always runs with the internal configuration data.
If an SD card with the file "default.cfg" is inserted in a brand-new RTU or an RTU reset to the

factory settings, the RTU always starts with the file "default.cfg".
