Installation requirements - FIDAMAT 6 Series
Installation conditions
Select an installation location which is as vibration-free as possible.
During operation, make sure that the permissible ambient temperature of 5°C to 45°C is
kept. Also make sure that the device is not exposed to direct sunlight.
If you install FIDAMAT 6 in a cabinet or a table housing, place it on supporting or telescope
rails. You can also install it in a swivel frame. It is not sufficient to only install the front side,
since the weight of the device loads the chassis too greatly.
Due to the heavy weight, the brackets must be correctly dimensioned. Anchor the housing
with all four screws.
Ventilation
Although the FIDAMAT 6 has an internal fan, you must provide sufficient ventilation. If you
would like to accommodate several devices in a cabinet, you should install the FIDAMAT 6
on top due to its high heat dissipation. If this isn't possible, make sure there are at least 4 to
5 cm (1 height unit) of space above the device.
Gas connections
Bulkhead unions (Swagelok) for pipes are available as gas connections with an outer
diameter of 6 mm or ¼". You can find the gas connection allocation both in the gas flow
plans as well as on the marking on the back housing wall.
Electrical connections
All connection lines (except for the mains connection line) must be shielded.
The connected lines are shielded via plug connections.
The core cross-section should be ≥ 0.5 mm². Lines of type JE-LiYCY...BD are
recommended. The line length of the analog output depends on the load.
Caution
When wiring all electric lines, keep the heat radiation of the device in mind. Keep a distance
>2 cm away from the device housing.
