Transient alarms
These alarms are triggered by voltage transient activity (i.e., ITI CBEMA Type 1
disturbances).
You must configure nominal voltage for these alarms to function.
The Threshold setup register in the Transient module defines what voltage
disturbance magnitude should be considered as transient activity. Threshold is
interpreted as a percentage of the nominal system voltage, plus 100. For example,
if you want transients recorded when voltage deviates from nominal by 20%, enter
120 into the
Threshold setup register.

Alarm event priorities
Your meter’s alarm priorities correspond to event priority ranges.
Alarm priority Event priority
High (red) 192 - 255
Medium (yellow) 128 - 191
Low (blue) 64 - 127
Info Only (no alarm) 1 1 - 63
None (no alarm or event) 1 0
1 Alarms with priority of Info Only or None are not indicated or displayed.
Info Only and None event priority
Alarms with a priority of Info Only or None are not shown on the meter’s display,
and do not function as alarms. If the alarm’s priority is set to Info Only , and the
event priority is greater than the event log cutoff value, the associated event is
recorded in the meter’s event log. If the alarm’s priority is set to
None , the event
priority is automatically set to zero, and no associated event is logged in the
meter’s event log.
For events that you want to log for future reference or troubleshooting, but don’t
want alarm functions, set the alarm priority to
Info Only .
For nuisance events that frequently occur and you have no desire to log for
reference or troubleshooting, set the alarm priority to
None .
