Troubleshooting
"Host – Receive fault"
The host has requested the
data output string last sent by
the CLX three times; NAK has
been issued with each attempt.
•
Host receive set incorrectly.
•
Data transmission interrupted
e. g. by cable break.
•
Check the host.
•
Check connecting cable and
monitor data transfer of the
host interface. To do so, select
upload from the CLX by using
the "CLV-Setup" user inter-
face, select the A
UXILIARY

tab and select M
ONITOR
H

in the drop-
down list. Download to the CLX!
Start the Terminal Emulator.
"Host - transfer to slow"
In the CLX, data is available for
output faster than it is trans-
mitted to the host.
•
Baud rate too low.
•
Incorrect protocol type
selected.
•
Protocol timeout too long for
the reading pulse frequency.
Check the configuration of
the host interface.
"Host - transmit fault"
The CLX cannot correctly
receive the data sent by the
host.
•
Host interface of the CLX con-
figured incorrectly.
•
Data transmission interrupted
e. g. by cable break.
•
Check the CLX and host.
•
Check connecting cable and
monitor data transmission at
the host interface. To do so,
upload from the CLX using the
"CLV-Setup" program, choose
the A

tab and

from the drop-down list. Down-
load to the CLX! Start the Ter-
minal Emulator.
"Master/slave - trigger too
soon"
The new reading pulse for the
master is received before its
timeout has elapsed.
Timeout for the master is too long. Check the coordination between
reading pulse and timeout. To do
so, upload from the CLX using the
"CLV-Setup" program, choose the

Download the changes to the
CLX!
"No polls?"
Network operation: the CLX is
waiting for polls by the CLX 200
network controller.
•
Data connecting cable inter-
rupted.
•
CLX 200 not ready.
•
Incorrect device number pa-
rameterized.
•
Inadvertently parameterized for
network operation.
•
Check cables.
•
Switch on CLX 200.
•
Parametrizise device number:
01 to 31.
•
Check the configuration of the
host interface.
To do so, upload from the CLX
using the "CLV-Setup" pro-
gram, choose the H

tion. Download the changes to
the CLX!
"Slave string faulty"
Data transmission error
between a slave and the mas-
ter.
Data connecting cable
interrupted.
If the error continues to occur,
check the connecting cable
between all devices.
