Function
Description

Prepare new article. A working name is assigned to the article for this purpose.
This name has the form New Article with a digit. Further editing of this article is
done in the Attributes Current Article block.

Delete the article displayed in the selection list. Before the article is deleted, a
confirmation prompt is displayed.

Save all changes made since the last save for all existing articles.

Clean up memory on the device. This deletes from memory the configurations
loaded for unused articles. The deletion does not, however, affect the informa‐
tion stored in the configuration.

Identifier for communication with an external system (PLC). The PLC can use this
ID to control the selection of an article.

System-internal identification number, is generated automatically.

This option can be used to load a schematic diagram into the system.

Backup/Restore Current Article
The settings of an article can be saved to external location or loaded from an external
location via this block.
An article backup is a zip file containing article description files, a schematic diagram
of the article and, depending on the configuration of the measuring head, the refer‐
ence image(s) for the camera or the CAM1 and CAM2 cameras (Article.json, Article‐
Schema.png, Cam1_Reference_r3.json, Cam2_Reference_r3.json).
