14.7 APP-007 IEEE-488 Interface Option
The IEEE488 mode is selected using the STI 5000 Series Software (PCW).
Use the STI 5000 Series Software (PCW) “Runtime->Tester Control” menu selection and the
click the “IEEE Remote” button. The STI 5000 Series Tester display should indicate “IEEE-
488”
Once the IEEE Mode has been selected, the STI Tester will respond to commands (see
below for commands accepted) from the IEEE controller only (Local Lockout). The STI 5000
Series Tester will return the default RS232
Mode on power up and from the “RS232”
command.

“INVALID PROGRAM”.

Note: The header part is transmitted shortly after the start test is initiated, the
test part is transmitted after completion of each individual test in the test
program sequence and then the footer part is transmitted after completion of
all tests in the test program sequence. The amount of time between each of
these parts is variable.
