2.2.2 Electronic Start-Test

Start-test relay  power  is obtained from the handler.  Jumper the header pins  on  the
Handler PC Board labeled “HANDLER 12V”.  Be sure system main power is turned
off before removing the PC board.  Wire 12 volts from the handler to pin 24 on rear
panel handler I/O connector. Start-test return is pin 25 (see handler connection table,
Figure  2-1,  or  Handler  schematic).    To  start  a  test,  handler  should  pull  pin  25  to
ground with respect to handler 12 volts.  Use EOT, EOT return, fail or bin, and diode
polarity results as required.  Note that EOT has a separate return which may need to
be  tied  to  handler  common  (dependent  on  handler).    Make  connection  to  handler
from  the  5000  Series  Tester  using  standard  25-pin  D  type  connector  cable.    Use
TRW  cinch  type  DBM-25P  for  solder  connections,  3M  P/N  3482-1000  for  ribbon
cable, or other equivalent.
