Troubleshooting
Error & Status Messages on the Display
Panel
This section describes the main messages that appear on the panel display. If a
message that is not described here, follow its instructions.

Before turning the power Stand by.

Message (in alphabetical order)
Message Status
Ready This is the default ready message. The machine is ready for use.
No action is required.
Processing... The machine is printing. Wait a while.
Waiting... The machine is waiting for the next data to print. Wait a while.
Offline The machine is offline. To start printing, switch the machine online
by pressing
{
Offline
}
on the display panel.
Warming up... The machine is preparing the development unit. Wait a while.
Energy Save Mode In Energy Saver Mode Level 2.
No action required.
Resetting Job... The machine is resetting the print job. Wait until [ Ready ] appears
on the display panel.
Setting change
in process
The machine is setting changing settings. Wait a while.
Hex Dump Mode In Hex Dump Mode mode, the machine receives data in hexadec-
imal format. Turn off the machine after printing, and then turn back
on.
Messages/Second mes-
sages Causes Solutions
Add staples The printer is out of staple. Add staples, cancel punch mode or
cancel the job.

Add staples
(Booklet)
Both staplers of the Book-
let Finisher is out of staple. Add staples to the both staplers of
the Booklet Finisher.

Alternatively, cancel staple mode us-
