The vehicle slows down or the steering servo shows only slight or no reaction; the range between transmitter
and vehicle is very short
• The drive battery is weak or discharged.
The receiver power supply and thus also the power supply of the steering servo is achieved through the speed
controller BEC. Therefore, a weak or discharged drive battery will cause the receiver to no longer work properly.
Replace the drive battery with a new, fully charged one (before inserting a new drive battery, wait at least 5 - 10
minutes until motor and speed controller have cooled down sufficiently).
When using a LiPo drive battery, ensure that the undervoltage recognition is switched on (we recommend 3.0 V/cell
or higher).
• Check the batteries/rechargeable batteries in the transmitter.
The vehicle does not stop when the throttle/brake lever is released
• Correct the trim controller "TH.TRIM" for the driving function on the transmitter, so that the motor stops when the
throttle/brake lever is in the middle position/neutral position.
• If the trimming path is not sufficient, reprogram the neutral and full throttle positions; see chapter 11. a).
Then you need to programme the fail-safe of the receiver anew as well (chapter 9. e) and check it (chapter 9. f).
The vehicle stops
• The overtemperature protection of the speed controller has been activated. Wait for a few minutes until the speed
controller has cooled off sufficiently.
• The undervoltage protection of the speed controller has been activated. The drive battery used is flat. Replace the
flat drive battery by a fully charged one.
• The fail-safe of the receiver has been activated, since the receiver has not received a valid signal from the transmit
-
ter (distance between the vehicle and the transmitter too large, batteries in the transmitter weak/flat or transmitter
has been switched off).
The vehicle doesn't drive in a straight line correctly
• Set straight driving at the transmitter via the trim controller "ST.TRIM". A light tolerance in straight driving is normal,
however.
• Did your car have an accident? If so, check the vehicle for any defective or broken parts and replace them. Check
the steering rods, the servo arm and its screw connection.
• Check if the driving aid (gyro) below the driver's figure is loose. If this is the case, use a piece of double-sided
adhesive tape to refasten it.
The steering is not functioning or is functioning incorrectly, steering deflection at the vehicle insufficient
• Set the trim controller "ST.D/R" correctly at the transmitter; turn the trim controller on clockwise to the right. If the
dual rate setting is too low, the steering servo will no longer react.
• Check the steering mechanics for loose parts; e.g. check if the servo arm is properly attached to the servo. Small
stones, leaves or small twigs may be caught in the steering mechanics.
