10. Commissioning
a) Installing the Receiver Aerial Cable
If the aerial cable is in the battery compartment for protection when the vehicle is delivered, pull it out carefully. Plug
the aerial cable into the enclosed aerial tube and fasten it to the overroll bar on the side with cable ties.
Ensure that the aerial cable is not damaged.
Never shorten the aerial cable! Never coil the aerial cable! This greatly reduces the range.
b) Installation of the Cockpit Panelling
If desired, you can attach the two cockpit covers (A) to the
left and right sides of the overroll bar with 5 screws each.
First, pull the protective film from the cockpit covers.
c) Taking the Transmitter into Operation
On this, observe chapter 9.
Switch on the transmitter and check the LEDs. Both LEDs will be lit when the batteries are fully charged.
If the batteries are weak, the green LED will flash. If the batteries are flat, both LEDs will flash/flicker. Exchange the
batteries for new ones then.
Turn the trim controller "ST.D/R" for the dual rate function clockwise all the way to the right.
d) Inserting and Connecting the Drive Battery
Attention!
First, start the transmitter.
Important!
This vehicle is suitable only for use with a LiPo drive battery with 2 cells (nominal voltage 7.4 V) or 3 cells
(nominal voltage 11.1 V).
When using a drive battery with more cells, there is a danger of fire from overheating of the speed controller.
Apart from this, the vehicle's drive will be overloaded and damaged by this (e.g. main gear, differential). Loss
of guarantee/warranty!
Connection of a NiMH rechargeable battery with 6 - 9 cells is possible as well, but not recommended due to
the high power intake of the vehicle.
