When frying:

Add an amount of oil enough just to cover the bottom of the bowl
when frying.
Follow recipe recommendations when deep frying.
Too much cooking liquid inside the bowl.
Do not close the lid of the appliance when frying, unless specified in
the recipe. Using frozen ingredients defrost and drain before cooking.
When boiling: broth boiled away during the process of cooking high-
acid foods.
Certain foods need to be processed before cooking: washed, browned,
etc. Follow recommendations given in the recipe.
When baking
(dough did not
bake through):
Proofed dough has reached the lid and blocked the
steam release valve.
Use smaller amount of dough.
Too much dough in the bowl.
Take the dough out, turn over, place back, and continue cooking. Next
time use smaller amount of dough.
THE DISH IS OVERCOOKED
Wrong ingredients or cooking time selected. Ingredients were cut
into pieces that were too small.
Use proven recipes, adapted for the appliance. Use ingredients, proportions,
cooking programmes, and time / temperature settings according to the
recipe instructions.
The dish remained in the unit with the “Keep Warm” on for too long
after it’s been cooked.
We recommend using the “Keep Warm” function moderately. If your appliance
features the function of preliminary deactivation of “Keep Warm” use it to
avoid the problem.
LIQUID BOILS AWAY DURING COOKING
Milk boils away.
Quality of milk depends on the manufacturer and the country of origin. Use
ultra-pasteurized 2.5% fat milk , dilute with water if required.
Ingredients were not properly processed (washed poorly, etc.)

Ensure that the bowl is clean and has no coating defects before cooking.

Cooking time was too long.
Reduce cooking time or follow recommendations of the recipe adapted
for the appliance
When frying: cooking oil was not added; ingredients haven’t been
stirred or turned over.
Add an amount of oil enough just to cover the bottom of the bowl when
frying. Stir or turn over occasionally to ensure that the foods fry evenly.
When stewing: not enough liquid inside the bowl.
Add more liquid. Avoid opening the lid when stewing.
When boiling: not enough liquid inside the bowl (recommended
proportions were not observed).
Follow recommended ratio of liquids to solids when boiling.
When baking: inner surface of the bowl was not greased with oil.
Grease the bottom and sides of the bowl with butter or oil before baking
(do not pour oil inside!).
INGREDIENTS LOOSE THEIR SHAPE WHEN COOKED
Ingredients have been over-stirred.
Do not stir ingredients more often than every 5-7 minutes when frying.
Cooking time was too long.
Reduce cooking time or follow recommendations given in the recipe
adapted for the appliance.
BAKED GOODS ARE TOO MOIST
Improper ingredients causing excess moisture have been used (juicy
fruits or vegetables, frozen berries, sour cream, etc.)
Use ingredients according to the recipe. Try to avoid using ingredients
causing excess moisture or use them in smaller amounts.
Baked product has been left inside the unit with the lid closed for
too long.
We recommend taking baked product out of the unit right after baking cycle
is complete or leaving it on the “Keep Warm” for a short period of time only.
BAKED GOODS DID NOT RISE
Eggs and sugar were poorly whipped.
Use proven recipes, adapted for the appliance. Use ingredients, proportions,
cooking programmes, and time / temperature settings according to the
recipe instructions.
The dough stayed for too long before being baked.
The flour wasn’t sifted or the dough was poorly kneaded.
Wrong procedure or proportions.
Chosen recipe is not suitable for your model of multicooker.
Certain REDMOND multicookers feature overheat protection in the “STEW” and “SOUP” programmes. In case there is
not enough liquid in the bowl, the appliance activates overheat protection, automatically interrupts the programme,
and switches to “Keep Warm”.
