ActiveScale™ OS X100 Rackless Installation Guide

O module back in the box on top of the drive sleds. Then take the first load of components to the data

center and assemble the components in the rack before returning for the second load.

Note:

To prevent damage to sled components

do not

transport or set down sleds

vertically on either end of the sled.

3.3 Installing the rail kit

Important:

Quantum Corporation strongly recommends removing the PDUs

from the destination rack before installing system components.

Important:

When assembling the rail kits for the Storage Enclosure Basic, insert

screws loosely. Until directed to tighten the screws, all the screws on the rail kit

should be left loose (have approximately ¼" of thread showing). This can be

achieved by giving the screw one complete turn after the threads catch. Or you

can put the screws all the way in, and then back the screw out three complete

turns.

Note:

Extra screws are included in the ActiveScale X100 accessory box.
