ActiveScale™ OS X100 Rackless Installation Guide

1. From the front of the rack, unlatch the I/O module latch handle.

Note:

The latch handle should be opened until clear of the rack ears. I/O module

handle is marked in red. Rack ears are marked in yellow.

2. At the front of the rack, run the power cord and

two

SAS cables through the right side of the I/O

module.

Note:

At the back of the rack, leave the power cords and SAS cables loose until

Phase 4 and Phase 8.

3. Run the power cable through the left side of the I/O module, lift the retention bale, and insert the

overmold of the power cable up into the slot of the power supply removal latch. Do not fully seat the

power cable at this time.
The power supply removal latch has slot that encloses the overmold of the power cable to prevent the

latch from being opened while the power cable is still connected. In this step the overmold of the

power cable is positioned in the slot, but it is not fully inserted. The figure below shows the
