ActiveScale™ OS X100 Rackless Installation Guide

1. Plug the power cords from the System Interconnects into the PDU at the specified location (see

Powering on the ActiveScale X100 components

2. Plug the power cord from the Management Interconnect into the PDU at the specified location.
3. In ascending order, plug the power cords from the Storage Enclosure Basics into the PDU at the

specified location.

4. After the power cords of the last Storage Enclosure Basic have been plugged into the PDU, wait 1-2

minutes before plugging in the Storage Nodes.

5. Plug the power cords from the Storage Nodes into the PDU at the specified location.
6. Go to the front of the rack and, in ascending order, press the power button on each of the Storage

Nodes.

7. At the back of the rack, plug the power cords from the System Nodes into the PDU at the specified

location.

8. Go to the front of the rack and, in ascending order, press the power button on each of the System

Nodes.

The ActiveScale X100 is now powered on, and the software is ready to be configured.
