Tip: 

Total time estimate: 20-48 hours, depending on the capacity of each rack.

Note: 

Systems are sold and factory configured as either single site or multi-site. 

Do not attempt to convert a single site system into a multi-site system.

10.3.2 Do additional setup for a multi-site deployment

This step involves connecting additional cabling for uplinks, reconfiguring System Interconnects, checking 

data paths, and so on.

10.3.2.1 Obtain cables and transceivers

Obtain or confirm that you have all parts required, as listed in the table below:

• Transceivers listed are shown with a part number you must purchase for each system. Purchase the 

part number specified for your chosen uplink mode. Part numbers correspond to upgrade kits.

Cables are customer-supplied and must be 

LC to LC multi- mode fiber optic patch cable

 (LC multi- mode 

50/125mm MMF OM3 or OM4 10Gb laser optimized fiber). These cables must comply with the Ethernet 

10GBASE-SR standard. Ensure that, for the cable type chosen, you do not exceed the specified maximum
