capacity. The system will self-heal

• Small files: 10/8 with a threshold of 0 to 8,388,608 bytes.

Default: 524,288.

• Average object size: 634-888 KB depending on disk

capacity.

• Overhead: Large files: 1.8x, Small files: 5.5x.
• Durability: Up to 31 nines.
• Availability: Data is available even if one site is

unavailable and two additional drives fail.

Balanced

multi-site

This policy provides balance

between usable capacity and

availability. When a single site is

offline and one drive fails in the

remaining sites, all data is still

available. It provides a usable

capacity of 61% of the raw disk

capacity. The system will self- heal

up to seven simultaneously failed

drives.

• Large files: 18/7.
• Small files: 9/7 with a threshold of 0 to 8,388,608 bytes.

Default: 524,288.

• Average object size: 698-977 KB depending on disk

capacity.

• Overhead: Large files: 1.64x, Small files: 5x.
• Durability: Up to 27 nines.
• Availability: Data is available even if one site is

unavailable and one additional drive fails.
