FEEDER CTRL. MODE
This feature is used to set how a connected feeder is controlled by the printer.
Option Note
standard
The feeder receives start and stop signals on job start,
on job end and if the user interrupts the print job
(e.g. by pressing the “Cancel” key) or if an error
occurs.
limit overspeed
As
standard
, in addition to that, if the feeding speed
is too high the feeder will be stopped.
sync. drive
DIST . BELT END
Used for production lines (e.g. inserter, mail table, foil
wrapping machine) where the feeder and the belt are
one unit and can be controlled together.
At
DIST . BELT END
the distance from first print unit
to the end of the conveyor belt is set. The correct
distance ensures that the transport is not switched off
too early.
Depending on the length of the production line it may
happen that more pages are fed than required to
finish the print job. Those following pages are
necessary to ensure the completion of each print job.
Default:
limit overspeed
Setting up the feeding speed with the limit overspeed setting
When starting a print job, you should begin with a slow feeder speed
setting. Increase the feeder speed until the printer begins to turn the
feeder off and on again. Now decrease the speed until the feeder runs
continuously without being stopped by the printer due to a too high
speed.
