• Test the paper edge detection with a single sheet of paper. Put it
under the sensor by hand. The status LEDs of the sensor will
indicate a product detection.

Transport belt surface
Please assure that the transport belts are free of dirt. Ink
stains, misallocated labels or marks on the belts may be detected as
product edges and will lead to error messages or misprinted products.
Detection of thick material
The sensor should be setup to a distance of 11 ± 2 mm above the
product surface. The paper sensor guide bar has to be adjusted in its
height position, if thick products are processed. Please see
chapter3.4.4, on page 24 for further information.

5.3 Adjusting the printer to the material thickness
To ensure a sharp and clean print quality, you have to adjust the distance from the nozzle
area of the cartridge to the material. Between material surface and the plates of each print
units should be a distance of 0.8 mm / 0.03”.
