SINGLE TEST
PRINT
• Set a print quality of
6x6 dpi
in the printer display.
• Turn on the transport system of your production line and set a
speed lower than 540 mm/s (106.2 ft/min)
• Press the Quick key and the arrow up key together.
• The printer will display
SINGLE TEST PRINT
and ask you to select
between
Manual
,
Feeder
and
Cancel
.
• Select
Manual
and pass one sheet of paper through the printer.
The size of the paper will be shown in the printer display.
• Pass a second paper through the printer. The AS-Orbit will print a
test print.
• Turn off the transport system.
TEST PRINT
(continuous)
• Set a print quality of
6x6 dpi
in the printer display.
• Turn on the transport system of your production line and set a
speed lower than 540 mm/s (106.2 ft/min)
• Press and hold the Quick key and the arrow up key together
for three seconds.
•
Test Print
will be shown in the bottom line of the printer display.
Now you can release the buttons.
• The printer will display
TEST PRINT
and ask you to select between
Manual
,
Feeder
and
Cancel
.
• Select
Manual
and pass one sheet of paper through the printer.
The size of the paper will be shown in the printer display.
• Continue to pass paper through the printer. The AS-Orbit will print
a test print onto each paper.
• Press the
Cancel
key to stop the test prints.
• Turn off the transport system.
Test print troubleshooting:
• The test printout shows little gaps or thin white lines.

Some print nozzles may be clogged. Please use the
CLEAN CARTRIDGE
function to
purge the nozzles. You may also clean the nozzles using a cleaning cloth. Please see
chapter 8.1.2 How to clean an ink cartridge, on page 140 for further information.
• The position of the test print is misplaced.

Please reposition the print units manually.
