Here you can choose between „
millimeter

inch[feet/min]
“ as unit of length. All
length and size settings in the printer will be displayed in the unit set in the menu.

TRANSPORT ERROR
In this menu you can set the behaviour of the print system for the following situation:
• The print system detects no more movement of the transport system during a print
job (the encoder wheel is not rotating).
When this menu is set to
stop print
, the AS-Orbit will stop to print (go offline) and display
the error message:
BELT JAM! CHECK THE PRINTOUT!

When this menu is set to
cont. print
(continue printing), the AS-Orbit will wait during a
stop of the transport system and continue the print job when it detects a movement again.
Setting this menu to
cont. print
is recommended for the following applications:
• AS-Orbit mounted on a web (e.g. continuous paper)
• AS-Orbit working in a read and print application
Check the printout
When
TRANSPORT ERROR
is set to
cont. print
, check all pages
underneath and behind the printer on every stop of the transport
system. The readability of the printouts could be affected by the stop
of the transport system.

EMERGENCY BUTTON
Here you can set if the printer should stop or continue printing when the emergency button
is pressed.

Emergency Stop System
It is recommended to connect the emergency stop system of the
printer with the emergency stop of the equipment the printer is
working on.
Change of default setting

if absolutely necessary.
