SERIAL Base
This option is interesting for users who want to combine a Quadient AS-Orbit with a
Quadient
CSV-810 (Base) conveyor. The AS-Orbit print system can synchronize the
start/stop and speed signals for one Quadient CSV-810 (Base) conveyor.

CSV-810 is installed in front of the
AS-Orbit print system (inline).
PrintBase
The AS-Orbit print system is installed on the
Quadient
CSV-810 (Base).
This menu is only shown when a serial connected
Quadient
CSV-810 conveyor is detected by the printer.

GAP CHECK
Here you can turn off the check of the minimum gap between two products. Turn off the
GAP CHECK
when using the AS-Orbit in a web (continuous paper) application.

The gap between two products must be at least 9
mm.
off
The gap between two products will be not checked.
The print area must be 5 mm smaller than the size of
each product. For example your product on the web is
120 mm in transport direction, so you can print on
115 mm of the product in transport direction.

ORDER of UNITS
If you wish to put two print units, of your printer, onto one mounting bar, you have to
choose
U1=U3/U2=U4
in this menu. This setting will make sure that all the data are sent to
the printer at the correct time. This feature is useful when the space for mounting the print
units is limited or you require more space on the transportation system to mount additional
equipment, like a dryer. See Figure 42 to see the standard (
default
) mounting positions
and the
U1=U3/U2=U4
mounting positions of the print units.
